The 1st XI picked up a 20 point haul to remian top of the Premier League with a 2 wicket victory at Wellington. Winning the toss they restricted their hosts to 149-9 with Ashfak Hussein, signed from Old Hill, during the close season, finishing with 5 for 32. The reply started well with Greg Wright and Chris Tranter putting on 54 for the first wicket. Greg was 7th out having scored 61, leaving Mike Jones and Nick Harrison to see the side homw with Dan smith unable to bat with a bad back. Full scorecard here
The 2nd XI had a winning draw at home to Wellington. Batting first they made 189- thanks mainly to Maz Shah 73 and Waqas 47. Andy Day kept the vistors quiet with figures of 15-8-18-4, his first 8 overs all being maidens. Dropped catches prevented the 2nds from picking up a win with the visitors finishing on 145-7. The Worcs 1st XI were rained off but the Worcs 2nd XI played on the bottom pitch. The vistors Himbleton CC won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 220-8 off their 45 overs. Dave Tromans finishing with figures of 17-1-59-6. The 2nds fell to 171 all out thanks mainly to Arun Bhogal's 58 on debut for the Worcs 2nd XI and Charlie Mac's 20. Full scorecard here
The Staffs1st XI had a bad day at Cannock and Rugeley being bowled out for 50, Reece hill top scoring with 25. The hosts had not problem knocking the runs off for the loss of 2 wickets. Full scorecard here
