Clubhouse for Hire!

Please contact us for further details of availability and costs email:Clubhouse@himleycc.co.uk

Our Club House is available for hire most days through out the year with a licensed bar.  We currently host training seminars, parties, funeral wakes & meetings on a regular basis.

We do charge a room hire but you can do your own catering or we can recommend outside caterers unlike most venues, for either hot or cold meals or hog roasts etc.

There is a function room that can hold up to 120 people for a disco/cabaret or 90/100 people for a sit down dinner (we do have a selection of discos that we can recommend, but you can provide your own entertainment as well). There is also a small lounge which caters for approximately 40 people for christenings, meetings etc

From the middle of September it is possible to erect a marque in front of the pavilion, in the past these have been used for large functions/balls/weddings so if you are interested in staging any type of event then please contact us at the address at the top of this article.

Congratulations also go to Andy Biggs who has been elected for a further term of office on the Management Board of the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League- Andy deserves this vote of confidence from the member clubs as he is a very active Board Member and not just along for the ride- The other Himley members on the Board are Tony Lea who is an elected member and Tom Waterhouse as the Staffordshire Cricket Board representative.

U14s in WCB Final Glory

The victorious Himley Under 14 Side

Himley Under 14's played host to Old Eliabethans on Sunday 9th September in the Worcester Cricket Board U14 cup.
Himley won the toss and invited their visitors to bat first. Himley took an early wicket Adam Passmore taking a sharp catch off the bowling of Arun Bhogal.  This brought Jacob Ham to the wicket, who together with Sam Langston proceeded to score runs freely until Jacob Ham retired in the 14th over with the score on 79.  Himley however stuck to their task, and with the opening bowling pair of Jimmy Abbs and Arun Bhogal to bowl the last 4 overs, Old Elizabethans finished on 99-6, with just 7 runs coming off the last 4 overs.  Arun finished with figures of 4 Overs 4 wickets 6 runs.
A target of 100, looked well within the grasp of Himley as  Matt Bowen and Arun Bhogal scored freely until Arun was out LBW. Adam Passmore was bowled first ball, and from a promising start, Himley had to rebuild.  Stephen Jones was next out for 4 to add to the home team's woes.  This brought Dan Holmes to the wicket who together with Matt Bowen started to rebuild the innings.  Matt Bowen provided the anchor whilst Dan Holmes played the more expansive role.  Things were looking good until the re-introduction of Nathan Dobbins, who trapped Matt Bowen LBW for 23.  Nathan Dobbins finished with figures of 4 Overs 4 wickets 16 runs.  With 2 runs to win, and Dan Holmes on 45, Dan decided to try and finish the game and get to his 50 in one shot but only succeeded in edging behind.  James Stanley strode to the wicket, with one thing on his mind, to finish the match sooner rather than later as he smoked his first ball to the backward point boundary to complete a 5 wicket win for Himley.
Himley Team:
Matt Bowen, Arrun Bhogal, Adam Passmore, Stephen Jones, Dan Holmes, Jimmy Abbs, James Stanley, Jack Lewis, Sam York, Adam Finch, Kris Green.
